Wat Neramit Vipassana is located in Dan Sai District, Loei Province. The temple is situated high on a hill just a little away from Phra That Si Song Rak. The Ubosot and the chedi inside the temple are all built with laterite, and there is a large Ubosot decorated ornately according to the art of the central region, which is the largest in Thailand. This building was created by the imagination of the temple's monks and novices. There are beautiful paintings decorated around the area, and there is a replica of the Buddha image including a wax figure of Luang Por Phramahaphan Silavisuttho, who initiated the construction of the temple, and already passed away. The surrounding area is decorated with beautiful shady gardens and trees, and there is an important Buddhist tree, "Sala tree", the tree where the Buddha was born. These make this as a place where anyone who arrives at Dan Sai should not miss to visit and worship. Interesting things in Wat Neramit Vipassana 1. Ubosot of Wat Neramit Vipassana: It is made of reinforced concrete consisting of earthen beams. The ordination hall is a Thai-style building made of bricks and mortar with a thatched roof. Ceramic tiles and wall coverings are laterite imported from Lamphun and Prachinburi provinces. The floor of the chapel is paved with pink granite from a granite source in Loei Province. The windows and doors are made of a single sheet of Makha wood. When entering the church you will find with the beauty of the Buddha image in the attitude of subduing Mara, which is similar to the Phra Phuttha Chinnarat Medicine, which is modeled after Wat Mahathat Phitsanulok Province There are also murals with delicate patterns with the art of Dan Sai painters, who took 8 years to paint, depicting a picture of the Buddha's life. There are images of Phra Vessantara, Jataka, and Thotsachat, including the Buddha image in the posture of Naga Prok, the Emerald Buddha and a portrait of Luang Por To. 2. Mondop Phra Khru Phawana Wisutthaya It is also a Mondop built with laterite. At this Mondop, there is a wax figure of Luang Por Mahaphant Silavisuttho or Phrakhru Phawana Wisutthiyan, who affiliated with Buddhists to build this temple.
