  • Wat Phra That Cho Hae
    Wat Phra That Cho Hae, a royal temple, is a temple located on a low hill about 28 meters high. Phra That Cho Hae is a chedi. Chiang Saen art Octagonal type with twelve recesses, wood lined with gold blossom or gold jangko. The Phra That is 33 meters high and has a square base with a width of 11 meters on each side. The Phra That is situated on a 1-tiered rectangular cutting board base. Next up is a base in front of a 3-tiered octagonal board supporting it. Next is an inverted lotus base. and a set of octagonal wooden bases, stacked up to 7 levels, then a 1 tiered bell lotus and a 1 tier front panel until the octagonal bell body, next up, is a throne with twelve wooden recesses and segments, with a tiered top decorated.. Decorated with Lanna style equipment, there is an iron fence around the relics in 4 directions, with 4 entrance and exit doors. Each door has a beautiful Lanna castle-style arch.     Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan: There is no evidence when it was created.     Wat Mahathat, Sukhothai Province, is in Sukhothai Historical Park. It was built in the reign of Pho Khun Si Intharathit, the first king of Sukhothai Kingdom. The temple is spacious. From the front of the temple, you can clearly see the buddha image and pagoda of the temple which reflect the glory days of Sukhothai Kingdom. When you walk into the temple, you will pass the pillars on both sides along the way. These pillars are the remains of Phra Wihan Sung. Consider from the size of the pillars, the vihara would be quite large. Next to the vihara, you will see the large buddha image in the pose of subduing Mara. At the back, it is the royal vihara which used to be the home to the largest bronze buddha image in Thailand named Phra Sri Sakyamuni.
