The Prasat Kuti Rusee at Ban Nong Bua Rai

It was built around the 16th to the early 17th Buddhist century as a Arokhaya Sala for people who came to participate the rituals at Prasat Meuang Tum. The castle are consists of a laterite prang, there is a sand stone frame door, the front is a porch that stick out, and another three sides are false doors. Around the castle would see the vestige of laterite wall that surrounded but it almost collapsed completely at all, just only base that is remaining. The top of Prang at the west side, there is a statue of the guardian-spirits of cardinal directions, The Yamarāja ride the buffalo. The square Library that was built by the laterite located in the wall which was decorated with stone carvings of Naga. Since the carvings and patterns are not compatible with others architectures, it suppose that it may be reconstruct again, in the 18th Buddhist century. The Fine Arts Department has announced the registration of the archaeological site of The Kuti Rusee at Ban Nong Bua Rai (Sa Pleng ) in the royal Thai government gazette no.99 part 75, On 8th of March,1935. And announced to determine boundaries of the historic site in the royal Thai government gazette no.99 part 155, on 21th of October, 1982. All of area around 3,084 square meters.
