Khao Phra Thaeo Wildlife Conservation Development and Extension Centre is located 20 kilometers from Phuket town, from Phuket Town to Thalang District. At the intersection in Thalang City, which is 18 kilometers from Phuket town, turn right for about 2 kilometers. This park was established as a wildlife park in July 1969 with an area of ​​22,280,000 Sq. meters. It was a fertile forest with many kinds of wildlife: wild boars, monkeys, bears, mouse deer, and rare plants as "White backed palm," which is a special plant discovered only in this place.
