Buriram province is the land of Khmer stone sanctuary, it have been a route from Phra Nakhon Luang or Prasat Nakhonwat (Angkor Wat) since the ancient period. Prasat Ban Bu is the one of beautiful Khmer stone sanctuary and located on the route as well. Nowadays, it becomes a significant tourism attraction in Prakhon Chai district, Buriram province. This is another interesting tourist destination that you should visit here. The Prasat Ban Bu was surmised in archeological way that it is a recreation place of the pilgrim in the past or traveler who used this way between Suvarnabhumi Territory and Pra Nakon Luang in the past. Therefore, the buildings like this must be built along the ancient path. There are various stuctures in Buriram province but here is a perfect structure. The Prasat Ban Bu is a rectangular building where was made from laterite similar to the Khmer stone sanctuary in the same era. The width is 5.10 meters and the height is 11.50 meters. There are entrance and exist way that is connect to the pagoda that located in the front and inside here. Inside, there is also an altar, with a lintel and a picture of the attitude of meditation that was carved on it. It can expect that the Prasat Ban Bu was built in the reign of Jayavarman VII; it is the one of an old Khmer stone sanctuary in Buriram province that is getting popular to travel here.
