Wat Phra That Chom Thong is located on a hill behind Don Sathan Village, Sathan Sub-district, Pua District. It is one of the oldest Buddhist sites in the Pua District. There is a legend about this temple, grandpa and grandma Lua who came to farm in that area met a monk so they went to pray. The monk can see the good, therefore, he said that he was a Buddha then he put his hair on the banana leaf, and gave it to them to build the temple when finished they named it Phra That Chom Tong. Later, the headman of Nan came and renovated the temple. He also changed the name to Wat Phra That Chom Thong.
