Formerly, it was the residence of Lawa people around B.E. 1800 Sukhothai period, later it was a deserted city covered with overgrown forests; until Phra Wo Phra Ta who came to explore the area to build a new city from Kab Kaew Bua Ban. He found a large abandoned Phra That, ancient Buddha image and carved stone lions; therefore he read a fortune about building a city and the result was not suitable for building a city. Thus the Sena was given to stay instead. As for himself, he sought to build a new city, and Tambon Sing was founded since then.
