His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, King Rama IX, had intelligence and capability in several fields. For example, for agriculture, His Majesty initiated a new agricultural theory with sufficiency economy; enough to live, enough to eat and enough to use, to be adapted in the livings and was pleased to set up a great number of royal projects to allow the people and those who are interested to learn and apply the given theories to their own work. Recently, there were numerous royal projects from the kindness of His Majesty who was concerned about his people. In Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, there are more than 20 royal projects. However, there is an additional project that is not the royal project but is a learning center for maximizing the utilization of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej or King Rama IX’s ideas. “Ban Khong Pho” Sufficiency Economy Learning Center is the learning center that brings the new theory of agriculture concepts of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, King Rama IX, for application. The administrator used his own budget for its construction. It is the source of knowledge for those who are interested. The inside is systematically allocated with a 30 30 30 10 ratio according to the sufficiency economy which is truly usable. The inside area is quite shady and clean. There is the tourist information point and place for recreation. The middle of the learning center is a decent-size land plot surrounded by the allocated areas for chicken farm house, goats, perennial plants, home-grown vegetable plantation, bridge across the pond for ducks and wood paths to traverse the area. There is a small house for agricultural equipment storage and a training center accounting for 10% of the residential area. After the opening of the learning center in April 2017, there have been many study tour groups from several provinces visiting for training. In addition, the learning center has 6 bases of fun activities for those who are interested; rice transplanting activity, goat and sheep feeding activity, woven fish ornament activity, layer chicken activity, food at the father’s house activity and the father’s home-my home activity. The activities are very popular among the students who come for a field trip. The learning center will use the products from the activities for further development and operation.
