  • Phra Chudhadhuj Ratchasthan Palace Museum
“Phra Chudathut Ratchathan” is the only palace in Thailand built on the island. It was built in the reign of King Rama V and was used as a residence of King Chulalongkorn and royal family. In the case of disagreements between Thailand and France (Franco-Siamese War), the Royal Thai Armed Forces invaded Koh Sichang and closed the Gulf of Thailand. Due to the war, the construction of the palace had been suspended. Later in the year 1892, King Rama V decided to demolish the building and build a new one in another place. Therefore, the palace at Koh Sichang has been cancelled since then.
