The characteristics of this river is that there are three typs of water, which are brine, brackish water and fresh water, which causes to the fruits grows around this area such as mangoes and coconuts are famous for its deliciousness. Moreover, it is where the jasmine rice originated. The Bang Khla Floating Market was established by Bang Khla Subdistrict Municipality on December, 27 2007 with the intention to promote the economic tourism by using the outstanding natural resources in the area to build this floating market for the local people and nearby area to sell local products and food for example of OTOP products and seasonal vegetables and fruits. The market opens only on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 08.00 A.M. – 04.00 P.M. The visitors can go there by either car or bus. It is about 92 kilometers from Bangkok. There is also the boat tour available to sightsee the beautiful nature along the bank of Bang Pakong River. Besides, Bang Khla Floating Market also provides the space for having a meal among the relax atmosphere.
